Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Voice Transcription - Deaf (also shown on your Home Screen as "Live Transcribe"), made by Pravin Gawale ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Voice Transcription - Deaf, you agree to these Terms of Service, to our Privacy Policy, and to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use Voice Transcription - Deaf.

2. Description of Service

Voice Transcription - Deaf is a live speech-to-text accessibility app. It uses your device's microphone to capture spoken audio and converts it into readable text on your screen in real time.

Voice Transcription - Deaf allows you to:

• Transcribe live speech into big, clear on-screen text as it is spoken, online or offline
• See who said what with speaker labels, and get AI summaries of conversations
• Get alerted when your name or token number is called (Name Alert)
• See important sounds you missed at home, such as a doorbell or alarm (Sound Diary)
• Type a reply to show in big letters, or play ready-made phrases aloud (Type to Talk and Emergency Phrases)
• Follow conversations, meetings, lectures, classes, appointments, and phone calls on speaker
• Switch between 100 languages and dialects
• Save, review, play back, share, and export your transcripts

Voice Transcription - Deaf is an assistive tool. It is not a medical device, not a hearing aid, and not a replacement for professional interpretation, captioning, or hearing healthcare.

3. Use of Service

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Voice Transcription - Deaf for your own personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. This license does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Voice Transcription - Deaf for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Record or transcribe conversations where you do not have the legal right or the consent required in your jurisdiction to do so
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of Voice Transcription - Deaf
• Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person or organization
• Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Voice Transcription - Deaf or its supporting infrastructure
• Resell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise commercially exploit Voice Transcription - Deaf without our written permission

You are solely responsible for complying with the recording and consent laws that apply where you are. Some jurisdictions require that all parties to a conversation consent before it may be recorded or transcribed.

4. AI-Generated Information

Transcription and Analysis

All transcripts, speaker labels, sound alerts, Name Alerts, and summaries produced by Voice Transcription - Deaf are generated automatically by speech recognition, sound recognition, and AI systems. They are provided for informational and communicative purposes only.

Not Professional Advice

Voice Transcription - Deaf does not provide medical, legal, audiological, educational, or certified interpretation services. Its results should not be relied upon as:

• A certified or verbatim record for legal, court, or regulatory purposes
• An official medical record or a substitute for direct communication with a healthcare provider
• A qualified sign language interpreter or a certified CART or captioning service required under accessibility law
• A hearing aid, hearing device, or any form of hearing diagnosis or treatment
• A safety or emergency alert system, such as a replacement for smoke or fire alarms
• The sole basis for any decision with legal, financial, medical, or safety consequences

Accuracy Disclaimer

We do not guarantee that transcripts, alerts, or summaries will be accurate, complete, or free of errors. Quality varies with background noise, microphone quality, distance from the speaker, accents, dialects, overlapping speakers, technical vocabulary, and audio clarity. Words or sounds may be missed, misheard, or rendered incorrectly. Always verify anything important before acting on it.

5. User Content

You retain all rights to the audio you capture and the transcripts you create with Voice Transcription - Deaf. By using the app, you grant us a limited, temporary permission to process that audio solely for the purpose of providing the app's features. We claim no ownership over your content.

Your transcripts, recordings, and settings are stored on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, in your personal iCloud account. Voice Transcription - Deaf does not keep a copy of your transcripts on our servers.

6. Intellectual Property

Voice Transcription - Deaf, including its software, design, interface, graphics, and content, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without our prior written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

Voice Transcription - Deaf relies on third-party services, such as speech recognition providers, Apple, and subscription and analytics providers, to deliver its features. Your use of Voice Transcription - Deaf may therefore also be subject to the terms and policies of those providers. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

8. Payments and Subscriptions

Subscriptions

Voice Transcription - Deaf offers auto-renewing subscriptions (for example weekly and annual plans). Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, you will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Managing Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device settings: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. We cannot issue refunds directly. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices and the features included in each plan. Any price change applies to future billing periods, and you will be notified as required by Apple.

9. Limitation of Liability

No Warranties

Voice Transcription - Deaf is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Damages

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, missed or misunderstood communication, missed alerts, lost opportunities, or damages arising from reliance on an inaccurate transcript.

Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Voice Transcription - Deaf is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Voice Transcription - Deaf and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the app, your violation of these terms, your violation of any applicable recording or consent law, or your infringement of any third-party right.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Voice Transcription - Deaf at any time if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using Voice Transcription - Deaf and delete it from your device at any time. Sections concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Voice Transcription - Deaf after an update means you accept the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction in which the developer operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
